Bucs acquire TE Kellen Winslow

by Roland Johnson on February 27, 2009

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have announced they have traded for Cleveland Browns TE Kellen Winslow, 25, who appeared in 10 games in 2008, with 43 receptions. Winslow carries some baggage as well as a past injury history.

Neither team has disclosed the trade in full detail, but speculation is the Browns will receive the Buccaneers third round pick in 2009, plus a conditional pick in 2010 based on Winslow’s playing time and stats. A very similar deal to that of Jeremy Shockey whom the Giants traded to the Saints last year.
