Bucs agree to terms with Leftwich

by Roland Johnson on April 12, 2009

Michael Smith, of ESPN.com is reporting the Buccaneers & free agent quarterback Bryon Leftwich have agreed to a two year deal.

The Bucs have stated all along they wanted to add a fourth quarterback before camp and there was a school of thought that they might be interested in drafting Josh Freeman at No. 19.

Leftwich was looking for a team that would allow him the chance to compete for a legitimate shot at startling and with the inexperienced McCown at the top of the depth chart he appears to see Tampa as his best chance to get his career back on track.
