Bucs Allow Nunn Lateral Move To Giants

by Staff Report on January 27, 2010

For the second straight day, Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Mark Dominik has allowed an assistant coach out of his contract. Defensive tackles coach Robert Nunn, who was added to the defensive staff at the bequest of former defensive coordinator Jim Bates was given permission to leave the team as he excepted an offer by the New York Giants to become their new defensive line coach.

The departure of Nunn doesn’t leave a void on the Bucs coaching staff as Todd Wash will again assume full coaching responsibilities along the defensive line. Wash coached the entire defensive line in 2008, but with the addition of Nunn last season he was relegated to just coaching defensive ends.
