Steve Wyche, of NFL.com is reporting that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

have contacted troubled free agent wide receiver Plaxico Burress. The nature of the talks according to the unnamed source were purely exploratory in nature and centered around Burress off season progress and his well being.

According to Wyche, neither Buccaneer officals nor Burress agent, Drew Drew Rosenhaus would comment on the situation.

Burress, 31, has 505 receptions, 7,845 yards and 55 touchdowns throughout his nine year NFL career. All though his legal situation and further punishment from the league will be the determining factor on whether or not a team decides to sign him.

If he is not found guilty, or suspended for an entire season by the league, the romur mill we be sure to heat up in late June early July before teams begin to head to training camp.
