Aaron Wilson, of Profootballtalk.com is reporting that Aqib Talib was

involved in a helmet swinging contest, which involved starting left tackle Donald Penn, but neither suffered and injuries, instead the wild swinging Talib managed to land helmet to face on fellow corner Torrie Cox, who Wilson says surfaced lacerations to the nose and face area.

With new head coach Raheem Morris, wanting the team to become more physically violent, not quite sure this is what he had in mind, but none the less the free spirited, trash talking Talib is raising the violence level of the team all on his own and not to mention in one practice.

Stay tuned as there is more to surface on this later in the day. Talib could face fines and or a suspension by the team as this is not the first report of inner team violence on Talibs part.

UPDATE:

Is Penn in cover up mode or was there just not that much to it? Penn who was the player named as the intended target of Talib’s aggression, now seems to be down playing the incident saying that “It wasn’t really a fight, It was a verbal fight. I don’t want it to be a bigger deal than it is. This stuff happens all the time, but you don’t hear about it in the media.”
