Tampa Bay Buccaneers General Manager Mark Dominik, not college scouting director Dennis Hickey will be in attendance to watch the Brut Sun Bowl, which pits Oklahoma against No. 21 Standford, to get a birds eye view of Oklahoma defensive tackle Gerald McCoy. Interestingly enough, it will be Dominik, who is in El Paso, Texas today rather then Hickey. With the entire coaching staff and front office on a rather warm seat with rumors of the Glazer’s sitting down with ex-Steelers coach Bill Cowher surfacing this week and the track record of Hickey of late, when it comes to drafting. One has got to wonder how much faith Dominik has in Hickey, that he is out scouting talent in person rather then the director of college scouting.
In addition to McCoy, the Buccaneers also have shown some interest in another underclassman, Tennessee safety Eric Berry according to Chris Steuber, of Scout.com.
