With the Buccaneers letting the market settle before jumping in the pool with both feet, the team has resigned S Will Allen, WR Michael Clayton, placed a tender on LT Donald Penn, placed the franchise tag on Antonio Bryant and resigned Ryan Sims and Luke McCown before free agency started. Add to that the trade the brought TE Kellen Winslow and Mark Dominik has been a very busy GM the past few weeks.
The latest is that Profootballtalk.com is reporting free agent RB Derrick Ward is scheduled to meet with the Bucs on Tuesday. While Ward is looking to be the main back, his age is not conducive for anything other then a RBBC situation.
PewterReport.com is reporting the Bucs have an interest in LB Angelo Crowell. Crowell, 27, was sidelined from injuries in 2008, has the size and athleticism to be a difference maker in the Bucs new defensive scheme, he might come cheap as he needs to prove he can remain healthy.
