NFL front man Jason La Canfora, per a video report on NFL.com says the Bucs must lose the teams next two contest at home against the Carolina Panthers and abroad versa the New England Patriots’ for rookie Josh Freeman to be inserted into the starting lineup, following the bye week. In a game against the Green Bay Packers an old black and blue division rival that would feature the team wearing their creamsicle uniforms – while doing there best impersonation of the 1976 Buccaneer team that went win less.

If the report has any validity to it, then second year quarterback Josh Johnson has two games left to build a legacy and get the team into the win column, before Raheem Morris pulls the plug. Johnson, who has started against the Redskins and the Eagles respectively, has shown steady progress since being name the team’s starter after week three.

If Johnson fails to guide the Bucs to victory, the pressure on Morris to insert Freeman as the starter from the Glazers, after falling to 0-7 might be just too much for the first time head coach to stomach.

But, the more important question, is not whether Freeman should play, but if he has done everything right to earn it, rather then just be anointed by default, something all to common for Freeman dating back to his high school days.
