Monday Musings

by Staff Report on January 11, 2010

With events unfolding of players being arrested – coaches being allowed to seek employment elsewhere. There’s still other news to get too from around the world wide web today. So here is a quick look at the Monday Musings from the national and local media who cover the NFL and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Jarrett Bell, of the USA Today in the first installment of a month-long series about the NFL’s All-Decade Team of the 2000′s. Says Derrick Brooks is the perfect pick as the NFL’s best OLB of the 2000′s.

Profootballweekly grades the NFL’s 32 offensive coordinators, while I wont give it away and tell you where they ranked Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Greg Olson, I will however tell you he was not ranked dead last. That dubious honor went to…drum roll please! Pat Shurmur, of the Rams.

The team is re-evaluating its college scouting staff, as the Tampa Tribune first reported, and there could be some changes made. But don’t expect general manger Mark Dominik’s good friend and director of college scouting Dennis Hickey to be a likely causalty in the shake up.

Jenna Laine, of NFL.com writes Restored Cadillac ran good as new in ’09.
