Tanard Jackson suspended by NFL

by Lee C on August 18, 2009

The Pewter Report is reporting that Buccaneers safety Tanard Jackson has been suspended by the NFL for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. Information is still trickling in and we don’t know what the substance was as of yet. Mark Dominik has said that Jackson will not appeal the suspension, which makes him sound pretty guilty to me. We’ll try to update you as soon as more information is available.

“I let my team down. . . I let a lot of people down. The fans, I’d like to apologize to them for the decisions I made that got me in this situation.”

“I had to comply with some things and as a result of that, that’s what led to my suspension,” he said.

“I definitely have some off-the-field issues I have to address for myself and the well-being of this team,” he said. Source:  Bucs Beat
