T.J. Houshmandzadeh to visit Bucs

by Roland Johnson on February 28, 2009

Chris Mortensen of ESPN, is reporting free agent receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh has a visit scheduled with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Houshmandzadeh, 31, has started 74 of the 105 games he has played in.  Drafted with the 204 pick by the Bengals in the seventh round of the 2001 draft. Houshmanzadeh has 507 receptions for 5,782 yards and 37 touchdowns with a career average 11.4 per catch.

Update: The Tampa Tribune is refuting that Houshmandzadeh is scheduled for a visit with the Buccaneers, this could be a move by T.J. agent to stir interest for his client and create a perceived market for the veteran receiver
