Williams Generating Buzz On Day One Of Rookie Camp

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers just concluded there first day of a three day rookie mini camp, with some 70-plus players in attendance. The early buzz being generated is the play of fourth round pick Mike Williams. Williams from all accounts looked quick, and separated himself from defensive backs while catching some deep passes and some balls in heavy traffic, he also caught some short passes that he took the distance.

Side Note: Late in the session Williams was helped off the field, with what team officials are describing as a “calf cramp.”

The teams first two picks Gerald McCoy and Brian Price were both on the field together sporting jersey numbers 93 & 92 respectively. It was also revealed that the two are  roommates during camp. Both defensive tackles showed the quick feet, an explosive first step and finishing power during drills in shorts on day one.

Former Buccaneer great and Oklahoma alum Lee Roy Selmon, was on hand to take in the teams rookie min camp and even had a chance to catch up with the teams number one draft pick during the session.

The teams rookies were also sporting numbers, but don’t be surprised to see some number changing down the line.
