Harvin to have private workout with Bucs

by Roland Johnson on March 18, 2009

Jeremy Fowler, of the South Florida SunSentinel, is  reporting former University of Florida WR Percy Harvin said he has a private workout scheduled with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Harvin who is a dynamic game changing receiver / runningback could very well be an addition the Bucs are looking into. Harvin who was a hybrid player under Urban Meyer at Florida has the speed and intangibles to be a difference maker for the Bucs in 2009, with 133 receptions, 1,656 yards and 13 touchdowns as a receiver he would add much needed depth.  His 1,305 rushing yards is part of the reason his receiving totals are not as high as some of the other noted top receivers in this draft, but because he plays well in space and is a threat to take it the distances on any given play makes him a player on the Bucs radar.
