With the 19th pick Bucs take Malcolm Jenkins CB

by Roland Johnson on March 23, 2009

Frank Coyle a nationally known pro football scout and the master mind behind Draft Insiders Digest. Coyle in his most recent two round mock draft has the Buccaneers selecting Ohio State CB Malcolm Jenkins with the 19th overall selection in the first round of this years draft.

Coyle has worked with several NFL front offices as a talent consultant over the past 20 years, gaining broad and extensive scouting experience within a diverse group of NFL systems. One of the better draft websites on the internet.

Cornerback is a need for the team, but I don’t foresee a player that is rated as the number one cornerback prospect slipping all the way down to 19, if he does it would represent excellent value at a need position, with a player of Jenkins caliber being able to compete for a  starting spot from day one.
