The movers & shakers: who dropped in this weeks rankings?
Buc Central’s POW-R’-ANKINGS; The power rankings are the product of a simple mathematical formula, using points for and points against. The rankings have predicted 10 of the last 19 Super Bowl winners. Further, 14 of the last 19 Super Bowl winners finished the regular season No. 1 or No. 2 in the POW-R’-ANKINGS system. Unlike with other, lesser rating systems, which are based on the authors opinion or some sort of biased towards a team they have a rooting interest in, no opinion is involved what so ever in formulating these rankings. None. Teams are ranked on a percentile scale, with 1.000 representing the NFL’s strongest team and 0.000 its weakest. If you don’t like where your perspective team is ranked, blame the evolution of mathematical science. (Key: WK2 = Last weeks rankings; WK 3 = This week’s rankings, based solely on stats from weeks 1 through 3 performances)
Quick Note: As the season progresses the rankings will stabilize and become much more accurate, as a few weeks worth of data is usually not enough to gauge a teams true measure of sustainability or truthful measure within the rankings.

Man, the Broncos keep impressing me. I actually just went and picked up their defense in my f.f. league. It is ranked #2 and they were still available. Of course, they haven’t really played anyone. Another week like that and we’re bound to be at the bottom of this list.
Amazing, that a team in such disarray this off-season has managed to win, and rebuild a defense in the process. While it’s still early, the Broncos if they can keep it up will only gain confidence the longer they can maintain there current level success and be a force down the stretch.
