by Paul Mueller on September 26, 2009

Derrick Ward circled this Sunday’s game against the Giants on his calendar when the schedule first came out in April. That was before head coach Raheem Morris decided to go with a three-back attack.

The Buccaneers released their depth chart early this week, along with a game plan to use youth and depth to their advantage by routinely rotating players, particularly at running back.

“We’re gonna work them all in …

by Roland Johnson on August 28, 2009

Four running backs one football, during last nights telecast of the game, I
found it quite amusing that the duo of Joe Buck & Troy Aikman who were calling the game for FOX, suggested that Raheem Morris and offensive coordinator Jeff Jagodzinski are pulling for oft-injured running back Cadillac Williams to secure the role as starter …

When the Tampa Bay Buccaneers reached out to unrestricted free agent
Derrick Ward this off-season and subsequently signed him to a four-year deal worth a reported $17 million. The deal includes $6 million guaranteed in the first year, $9.25 million over two years and $13 million over three.

by Roland Johnson on July 15, 2009

Competition is what has been preached this off-season, but it now seems some
in the media proclaim to know everything that is going to happen, even before the team has reported to training camp. “Everyone knows that ex-Giant Derrick Ward will be featured and new offensive coordinator Jeff Jagodzinski wants to run.” said John Czarnecki, of …
